My boss is an asshole. Just, point blank, she has done things like told me other coworkers made comments on how I smell, HR complained about my attitude, baseless things.
I finally had a conversation with HR today to make a complaint about these closed door conversations, and she did admit that she and my boss have spoken about me in that I seem “unhappy” but there is no issue with my performance. I explained how difficult it is to work in an environment where I am constantly have my privacy invaded and belittled and at times humiliated.
One of the first things that comes out of her mouth is allowing me to transition out as quickly as possible and offering severance pay through the end of the year? It’d be like maybe $5k, I don’t make much.
In a way it seems like she doesn’t really care about my complaint, they’re just trying to shut me up and get me out?
My gut says take the money and leave, but another part of me is concerned that I’ll be required to sign some documentation stating this confrontation with my boss has been resolved and I am no longer eligible to pursue action against her.
