So in a nutshell, I'm on a 12 month maternity leave contract ending in April next year. I've already told them I have no intention on staying past april (I hate the job) I was polite about it and they understand fully as the position is more suited for a junior admin traineeship.
However, theres new building project going up in our area and theres 2 incredible jobs that I would be perfect for (my experience and qualifications suit to a tee) and as it's a small town I'm worried something like that wont come up again. The pay is amazing too.
I'm miserable at my job but dont want to let them down by leaving before they are prepared, should I be open with my boss that i was to apply for these 2 jobs for the same project? Or would I be an asshole.
