Entire leadership team is on PTO this week. I am putting in my notice tomorrow. Is an email acceptable?

Without being able to contact them through phone, I want to ensure that there is a paper trail sooner than later. While not the ideal delivery is this an acceptable way to go? I don't have anyone else in the office this week I would be appropriate in this circumstance.
