I’ve been in an entry level position for about 5 months. It’s my first full time job since completing my undergrad and there have been lot’s of ups and downs throughout my time so far. Overall I’ve heard good feedback from my direct superiors who continually praise my work.
A colleague of ours just took leave and I was asked to jump into their role as a developmental opportunity and as the ‘next step’ in my career. The colleague has since left and I’ve taken on their responsibilities. One thing to call out is that I haven’t on paper finalized this new role, it’s just been ‘talk’.
Today my director requested we book a 1 on 1 over lunch. Mind you, we almost never work directly and my updates are shared in our team meeting.
This being my first 1 on 1 with my director, I’m a litter nervous / uneasy about what it could be about. Does anyone have any first time experiences they could share?
