I recently took a new job about 2 months ago. Reasons why I left my old company were: no room for growth, small company in general, and to be back in a typical office environment- I worked remotely 80/90% of the time. But at the end of the day I loved who I worked with and it provided outstanding flexibility. So my company owned and operated restaurants, and coincidentally as I was leaving to my new job, my boss sold the restaurants to a bigger company that has a more diverse portfolio.
It sounds like he spoke very highly of me at some point with the guys he sold to, and they're very interested in potentially hiring me to do the same role for them; essentially reporting and data analysis. So I've allowed these guys to be in touch with me recently about meeting up to grab dinner and to talk more about working for them and their company. I'm at least listening to them, who knows, it could be a great opportunity, I'm not being closed minded about it.
At the same time though my gut feeling is that these guys are gonna have to blow me away and open up their checkbook honestly for me to jump to them- I'm pretty satisfied with my current job and I'm not sure I want to be back in the restaurant industry again. I hope these guys don't think I'm gonna be wasting their time though if I do meet up with them and say later thanks but no thanks. Thoughts?
