I’m between a rock and a hard place job-wise

This will be a long post and I may miss stuff out, so I’ll be happy to provide clarification.

I currently work as an academic writer and I’ve been doing it for 5 months now. It’s a nice job, not too difficult, good pay, but my co-workers have made life in the office difficult. There’s 5 of us altogether. I genuinely sit in absolute silence for 7 hours and then go to the gym, then home.

I was unemployed for about a year before getting this job (became disabled, had nervous breakdown, started looking for work) so I’m reluctant to leave yet, because I don’t want companies to think I just jump from job to job every few months. I’d happily stay if things at the office were better, but that’s tangential.

I’d like to leave because I’m trying to save for my first mortgage and have been strongly advised to try and find a new job with better pay so I can afford a better mortgage. I need to move out ASAP because my parent’s bungalow isn’t accessible for me and I need a space where I can live independently and that has enough space for my wheelchair.

Now, the jobs I’ve found are; - too far away for me to move to, require experience/qualifications/skills I don’t have, aren’t accessible. The jobs I’ve applied for, I’m actually overqualified to do, or grossly under qualified.

I’d like to do something in criminal justice, because that’s what my degree is in and what I’d love to do.

I’ve thought long and hard about my options and I’m stuck. I’m not going to quit my job yet, because that’s a reckless decision when I’m earning decent money. I can’t move away just yet because there are services I’m using in my city that I can’t just drop and pick up elsewhere.

But, I’m aware that time is of the essence and I need to move into an accessible property ASAP and get a new job ASAP... I’d really appreciate some advice because I honestly am not sure what to do.
