I work a corporate job and I find the office chat quite dull. It’s usually about politics or office politics or climate change. Getting insurance on their house, mortgages. Things like that. Adult stuff. I know they are important But honestly, I find those topics so boring in conversation.
I just want to talk about movies, sports or video games something casual like that light and fun, at least for me. I find when it gets to those important topics I just zone out and can’t keep up because I don’t really have any interest talking about it.
I feel so out of place at work sometimes. I feel corporate jobs are for a certain type of people and I still feel like a 16 year old kid wanting to talk about 16 year old things but who just managed to get in one of these jobs.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same?
