I’ve been out of work for almost 2 years. I’ve had horrible luck with finding anything. Either getting a standard email saying “we’re not moving forward with you application” or just nothing at all. The few times I HAVE heard it has always blown up in my face. Whether it be a company contacted me about a job they had and then basically asking me why I don’t go do something else…. To a hiring manager ghosting me after he failed to send me the address for the interview location (legit company, new branch opened in my area but no address could be found online for that location so I was counting on his email which he never sent…). To a damn fruit picking job (who are quite desperate for workers due to COVID and a lack of backpackers) not responding or providing any updates for 2 weeks, then promising they’d get in touch with me when I asked and not following through even after I follow up YET AGAIN. I’m still very fresh off that last one, and I’m now almost shitting myself at the thought of this interview I have coming up. It’s again one where THEY reached out to me about it….. what if it goes wrong like everything else has?!
