Ok, quick background. I originally went to college in 2011 right out of highschool, dropped out for a few years to deal with some health problems, came back in a different degree program which I finished in 2020. The degree was in Finance.
I wasn't very active on campus outside of class due to a death in the family initially and then covid came in and so I didn't do any internships. When covid hit me and some family decided to not work and ride it out a year living on some savings (We had some people who were high risk). Fast forward to vaccines coming out. I ended up having some health problems which pushed back the job hunt even more. Now Ive finally gotten that under control so here I am. Looking for a job.
At this point, I really don't care what I do. I Just want to make a livable wage (30k-40k a year) so I can pay of some student loans. While there are certainly aspects in a job very few are dealbreakers at this point. I don't want to be in sales but thats about it.
I have no idea how to go about getting a job. My resume is pretty horrible, I'm a good worker and know I'll excel in whatever position I find, but its getting my foot in the door that is the problem. Ive been looking on indeed but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. I would prefer to work from home but if I have to go in its not that big of a deal.
