I just did a phone interview and she asked me about my range, and I said I was open but I gave her my minimum number. She said their starting minimum was actually almost double what I asked for. Is this going to hurt my chances for some reason? I answered based off 1) my experience, which obviously they're fully aware of since they have my resume and asked about my work, and 2) what I had seen on other companies' posts for the same role. I did research on the company and it seemed relatively small especially compared to places where I'd expect such a large starting salary like Microsoft or Amazon.
The job is sort of tech related if that matters.

During an interview, is it bad if I named a salary lower than their range?
