I just had an excellent interview today for a new position at a small but well-established nonprofit in my area that is actually offering a quite reasonable wage and has excellent benefits, and within a day they reached our about scheduling a final interview with their CEO! I’m really excited about the organization and their vision, and I feel like I’m quite qualified for the position, however I’m slightly concerned about maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Many nonprofits are understaffed and I am not willing or able to consistently work 50+ hours a week. In the first interview I did ask about this, it seems as though there is a decent balance but I want to be sure.
Also, do you all have any other suggestions for questions to ask? I’ve never had a CEO sit in on an interview but this position is quite integral to the agency so I feel like it’s a good sign that he’s invested, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
