I've been in a job search since July and granted, I could have been better at applying to more places but after 5 months of no progress, I am looking for advice on how to progress and expand my job search
I've been using mostly Indeed and LinkedIn to find suitable job offerings but most of the legitimate entry-level jobs seem to be dominated by the same companies/universities that I have applied to. I've mostly applied to lab tech/QA/R&D jobs but the ones that lead back to actual websites tend to be the same companies so I am wondering if it's worth applying over and over to the same positions that keep popping up from the same companies or should I just look elsewere.
Also, a secondary question, do you apply to job listings that do not lead back to an official company/university website? I've seen some positions from companies I haven't heard of but the application is directly from LinkedIn/Indeed. I am wary of these because I've been caught in recruitment hell from applying to one of these and now they don't stop calling/emailing me no matter how many times I block the number/email.
