Can anyone tell me this article about employment practice is legally accurate??

Basically this says a company can fire you right after you give them a resignation notification. So it means that when you send a resignation notification, you're not really resigning at that moment but you will have resigned after 2 weeks which means your company can FIRE you in the mean time and on the HR record you will be considered "involuntarily terminated by the employer". Is it correct?
