Here's the situation; I interned at a super cool place this summer for my Master's program. Cutting edge science stuff, I learned a lot. But my manager fucking sucked. Micromanaged everything, volatile moods, impatient and hated questions. When previously asked how long my internship was going until, we had both said vaguely the end of August. As that time is approaching, I'm realizing, for my mental health, I cannot stay in this position. Or rather, I cannot work with her anymore. They will be discussing this week on whether or not to continue my internship; regardless I think I will be refusing. I checked my employee profile and found that my end date is not the end of August, but rather August 17th! I was thinking about bringing up tomorrow that I would be willing to extend it to August 20th to finish out the week, but that I would not be continuing afterwards. What do y'all think? I feel I'm not misrepresenting my end date because neither of us knew exactly when it was, so it's fine for me to use the exactly defined end date as intended.
