Hi all!
I started a new job yesterday at a startup. I was the 11th person to join the company. Today the CEO had a meeting that he has every couple of weeks I believe. My coworker who I will directly work with started last week. During the meeting the CEO decided to introduce us. He asked us when we joined the meeting (we were the first 2 to join the meeting) if we would be okay with giving a quick introduction on our background when the meeting starts, we both said yes.
The ceo and my coworker had their cameras on, but no one else did, so I got really shy and decided not to turn mine on. Even when I introduced myself I had it off. Do you think this makes me look bad? I'm now worried i gave a bad impression. They did have our pictures with our names in the slide show, so I thought that would suffice, but my coworker told me I have to turn my camera on atleast once.
What do you guys think? Does it make me look bad not turning it on ever?
Thank you!!
