Generally speaking and from your experiences, do those who move up the vertical career ladder (managers, supervisors, directors, executives, VPs, etc) experience greater work-life balance and life enjoyment? Is there more work to do in these roles (more hours you need to put in)? Or is it same amount of hours and just different types of work tasks?
Context - I value work life balance and enjoyment above what I make in dollars. And while I understand that you can gain more money from higher positions to enjoy things, at what cost does it come at?
