Background checks taking longer due to Covid?

Hey everyone - Is anyone/has anyone gone through the background check process for employment recently and found to take longer than usual?

Going on three weeks here, background check company is saying the county clerk is taking long to respond. Pre-Covid I've never had a background check take more than a week.
