Took three months for an employer to respond to my application, interview me, ask for references + transcripts, and then ghosted me.

This is for an entry level IT position at a college that was "desperately" hiring. Was referred to by a current employee.

Oh, and the position is temporary.

Edit: just found out the manager went on vacation and didn't tell anyone..

I mean really, employers wonder why they can't retain employees for long yet pull this bs off. If a candidate did something similar they would be rejected instantly.

I know I'm desperate for a job but this experience has really left me with a bad taste with the employer, and I haven't even been told if I'm hired yet.

It pays slightly more than unemployment too...
