Recently I was offered jobs at 2 restaurants for host position.
Restaurant A pays $9/hr + tips w/ tip sharing. I was told that hosts there end up making around $20-$26 because of it. It’s a small, older restaurant with a tight knit atmosphere. I did a “trial day” there & liked it.
Restaurant B pays $10/hr + tips but no tip sharing. Idk who tips hosts anyways. But it’s a newer restaurant with a younger crowd/atmosphere. I haven’t start there yet.
Currently I’m also a cashier that gets paid $12/hr. I’ve been at this job for 2+ years & have been thinking of quitting for a while just because I want something different.
But now I’m stuck with either work for A or B, or quit cashiering & do both restaurants?
There’s no “wrong” choice here, so I’m just in a limbo. /:
