So, I applied for a job over Indeed for a company called Apex Realty and a recruiter texted me today. They asked me a couple questions over text regarding hours, schedules, whether I want to do full-time or part-time, and ran over some things I'd be doing for this job. This is a fully remote job, so none of it is in person. After that process, they told me I was confirmed and that I was able to work with them.
Later they asked me to provide a photo of my state ID along with my full SSN.

I don't want to provide my SSN over text or email, and honestly since I'm a full-time student and have only had one job prior to this, I'm not sure if this is considered protocol and I'm just being overly paranoid.
Thanks in advance!
