Paid to get a resume and cover letter written professionally, three months later, still no job.

I really don’t know where to turn anymore. Since June of last year I’ve been applying for just about anything that would at the very least cover my cost of living, without so much as a single interview. In April of this year, I paid a professional resume writer, because I thought maybe the one I’d been using just wasn’t up to snuff. I’ve probably sent out 100+ applications since then, still nothing.

I’m using a professional crafted resume, I’m doing the follow up calls, and I’ll sometimes even walk into the company to introduce myself. I got nothing to show for it. Do I even have a next step?
