My husband is wanting to leave the restaurant industry after 10+ years in favor of a more family-friendly schedule. He loves the fast paced, think-on-his-feet aspect but the hours and schedule are wearing on him.
Those 10+ years were in management, so he has ample transferable leadership qualifications. He also has a bachelor's in business management. He worked briefly in sales and hated it. He doesn't know what else he might be interested in, but knows he wants something with the energy of the restaurant world.
I am at a complete loss with helping him. Everything I suggest or listings I send him get shut down - either not at the salary level he's looking for, it would have him glued to a desk, or he isn't qualified (certifications or direct experience required).
Any insights or suggestions greatly appreciated!
