I got a job offer that seems really legit.it started from a staffing recruiter who sent me an email in response to my resume when I was applying on indeed. It's a remote content moderator job for epic games. I spoke with a recruiter that reached out to me and literally everything aligned with what I was looking for. (There are some things here and there I wish were different for benefits but as long as I have benefits and they aren't crap.) Anyway the job is legit and the hiring manager was great.
Basically, I am in a "temporarily remote" position where basically they are hiring people in my area full time, until they get an office established here where I can work. Ill be a content mod for Fortnite and basically working from a ticket queue to respond to reports and negative content. All stuff I have exp with.
In my current job I do "IT" but I really have been hating it lately. It doesn't feel like IT anymore and I'm being paid $15 an hour to do work for multiple departments. It feels like I'm being used at this point and while it is a stable job. I wake up every morning dreading work. I'm constantly 10 minutes late because I just know the day is going to be full of nonsense
The only thing I'm really giving up unfortunately is trading 14 days of PTO for 10 but it's a WFH job and I love WFH and it's a shift that I can manage well. Other than that. I still get 401k, health, dental and eye, and $19 hourly.
The only thing is that is only a year contract. I'm sure I could come back to this job in a different position because I've created multiple bridges working multiple department that I'd be welcomed back and won't burn any bridges. But I'm confident in my ability to find another job after a year if I'm not converted to full, especially with this new job on my resume. But I just want to see what advice people have.
