I’ve been looking for a job for months. Im just trying to get an entry level tech job or something related.
I keep getting rejected or ghosted. I’m a little over a year out from graduating but still can work¿ I’m not grossly unqualified for anything I’m applying for. My resume is at least decent. I’ve tried re formatting and editing it countless times. Now im at the point where what I have on it can’t possibly have much more to be better, given the roles I worked at. (Mostly customer service roles and light data entry/management roles.)
I’m starting to get the most depressed I’ve been in a while. I’m not sad, just overall getting disappointed and feeling not good enough because of constant rejection. Every company I apply for I research and try to identify what works and why, how to further improve it, and what doesn’t work and why, and how to fix it.
Every single entry is anywhere from 1-8 years experience. I’ve been applying to those anyway too, and am having no luck. All i want is a foot in the door. These places are missing out on an employee who loves to learn and find solutions. If you’re “urgently hiring”, how about give someone a chance to fucking contribute?
The only jobs I get offered pay 11-14$. It’s not enough. I’ve had over 4 years of working in fast food and I don’t have the heart for it anymore. I need something that pays a living wage and aligns with technology. It shouldn’t be so hard to find. Just. Train. Me. Or at least give me an interview so I can describe how I can bring value.
Only jobs I have found are remote. I don’t know if even half are real. Does anyone have tips on verifying legitimacy?
