So, had a screening for a Senior Audit Associate position with a national CPA firm and was told by the HR rep that a two year gap of unemployment and the fact I had not finished my CPA exam yet were “red flags” for the hiring managers.
If that’s the case, why did they bother contacting me for an initial call if they already thought that I had red flags that would not be worth investing in? Why waste our time talking to me if they’re already going into the call with the mindset that I wouldn’t work out for them?
