Is there any merit to those job matching companies that reach out to you?

I've been on the job hunt for a while, and I've had some unsolicited messages from potential 'employers' saying they work for a company that specializes in matching my skills to available jobs in their network. These always struck me as a scam at the very worst, or just not worth my time at the very least.

I recently had one reach out to me over Indeed, asking for a phone call. After researching their company that looks seemingly legitimate, it got me thinking if this is something I should follow up with, and if so what red flags should I be aware of?
