I made it to the second round of interviews with ViacomCBS. Specifically, Nickelodeon TV current series. I passed my HR screener last week and I'm a former intern with Paramount Pictures, another ViacomCBS brand. I graduated in 2020 from film school and since then, I've been an executive assistant at a social media start up. I've worked in administrative capacities at internships at Sony Pictures, Disney, and of course Paramount back in college too, but because of COVID, I haven't been able to get a film/TV job since the industry has been shutdown for about a year and is only now opening back up.
In this next interview, I will be speaking with the executive that I will be assisting. I know her name and I looked up her current projects. I'm currently getting familiar with all the shows and where the company is headed.
The job is mainly typical administrative tasks mixed in with certain creative tasks. I want to be able to make a connection with her and show her that I'm up to the task and very interested, because this job is exactly what I want to be doing.
Any advice on interviewing as an executive assistant?
