I finally got the job!!!!

After years of getting rejected from HR phone screens primarily because of my need for a work visa, I finally interviewed with a company last month that extended an offer (with a 50% pay bump pre-negotiation, applying for my work visa and the green card when the time comes) yesterday. While the position is for a level below what I interviewed for, the salary jump into the 6 figures is still pretty terrific and I'm excited.

I haven't told anyone this but I finally feel like I have options when it comes to my career. Probably the most positive I've felt about my professional life in the 5-6 years I've been working.

I might grab a pizza and crack open a beer tonight after all
