I am 16 years old and actively seeking my first job. The first job that I applied to, Wendy’s, gave me an interview within a couple days of submitting my application and the interview was scheduled a week in advance. Four days prior, the manager confirmed the interview with me. Today, I showed up for the interview to find the doors locked. I called several times to no answer, and on the fifth call, a crew member told me the manager was not there today and to reschedule. There was no communication at all that the interview had to be cancelled and it wasted 30 minutes of my time. After this, I drove to another restaurant and got an application form. This seemed extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Is it worth rescheduling if this is a model of how they treat their actual employees?
