Been out of work since 9/2020. I've applied to over 200 jobs in the tech field with less than 10 total interviews. Late February into March has been different. I am in various stages of 5 job interviews with my first offer coming this past Monday! Offer way low for the role, so I request to have a phone call to discuss some job particulars and note offer is low for the role(not stated, but like $20k to 30k too low). They reply asking me to wait for an official offer letter from HR before further conversations are had so that everything can be explained at the same time. Cool. Today, I receive a request from HR to complete a second job application. When I click the link, it is for a different job title with 30% of the job responsibilities being different. I replied back letting them know I had already completed this to which they replied it was felt the second link was more in line with my experience. Can't help but feel the title was switched to justify the pay instead of paying for the role I interviewed for. I emailed my two contacts and am now waiting to see if they reply or if its just silent treatment, see your way out. I had some red flags going in that weren't really alleviated during the interview process. This really doesn't help me want to become a part of their organization.
