Hello, all. I've really enjoyed following others' stories on here; it makes me feel less alone.
I just submitted an application for a job that genuinely interests me. Of course, I made the mistake of re-opening the cover letter attachment, only to see that I had written "changes" instead of "changing" in one part of the letter. There is no obvious way to amend the application or even withdraw it and reapply.
I'm hoping that the rest of the cover letter and other materials taken together will overshadow this minor typo, but I am kicking myself for not slowing down and giving the cover letter another read before sending. I guess I'm looking for some moral support or perspectives on how much weight this might carry. I've served on a few hiring committees myself and have generally been underwhelmed by many cover letters I've read, but I am still stressing about this.
Good luck to all on your respective professional journeys!
