I'm about to put in my week notice at an understaffed food service job.

I didn't mean to make this all about my boss but, after a year of taken up with so much stress and being overworked at this job, I've about had it with my new manager's tendencies to fire more than she hires. I haven't had a consistent schedule ever since she was hired. I've gone from morning shift to evening shift to 5hr to 12hr shifts (it's supposed to be part-time) We're always understaffed and she just fired another one of our staff because she started an argument with them not expecting any backtalk. What's annoying is she tries to make herself sound like the victim but I've experienced what she does when she doesn't get her way. I understand she's a new manager for less than six months; however, I believe she's abusing her position and thinks she's invincible.

We've been through this about three times already. Everytime she gets someone to work extra shifts/take extra days. I get used as a scapegoat by her because I made the mistake of over-performing in my duties.

I just got an application for a different franchised store that pays more, so I hope I can get in there before I quit. The uncertainty and anxiety I get when coming into work isn't worth it.
