I want out.

I have enough where I won't need another job right away, but I feel like I'm pissing my life away. This over 40 hours per week Monday - Friday structure is not something I have any interest in adapting to long-term.

The only good point right now is how much I'm saving, and I'll continue to milk easy days for as long as I can. But I don't want to be in the job that I am in now forever. And I would much prefer not to hop into something else right away after leaving. I'd want to take a "mini-retirement," knowing full well I'll need income eventually after a year or so.

I've saved enough to last me over a year. Where I'm at now though, I'm not putting in any effort into my job and am just wanting to do other things with my life.

Ideally though, I want to fall forward if I decide to leave. I'm sure many of you here have left a job with nothing lined up. How do I pull this off without everything falling apart?

Since it's often said "never leave a job without another lined up," I'll add emphasis on my earlier point: I have no interest in going into another job right after leaving one. I want time to myself beforehand.
