Let me preface this with there is no way to know for sure what you got rejected for.
I had my phone interview, then got requested to do a site interview with two VP's, then had another interview the following week with two more managers. At the end of my last interview when they asked whether I had any questions I thought it would look good that I spent time researching the company and I thought is was a fair question as well so I asked what all the negative Glassdoor reviews were about? I ask if it was a systemic issue in their company? It was a easy questionfor the manager to answer saying that sounded to be more of home office stuff. I accepted that, no big deal. Well today I got a rejection letter (I was very qualified for this position, been in the industry for years, blah blah blah).
I was taken aback by the rejection so as a form of cathartic therapy not be too down about the email I thought I would re-read the Glassdoor reviews. To my surprise, dated the same day I had my interview I saw HR scrubbed all the reviews and posted replies with a generic "Please reach out with any problems or issues, we value employee input, etc."
Very sensitive company apparently! I got the HR team working hard that day! In hindsight the job would of been a nightmare and a waste of my time. But the lesson here, don't mention Glassdoor reviews. Its easier for companies to deflect than address issues in their organization so better not mention anything negative folks.
