I'm a graduate with BA in Construction Management and had been job searching since my graduation last May. I was reached out by the company owner around early Feb on Indeed, asking me if I want to interview for their position as a CM intern. the whole interview process took me around 1 month and a half since they took their time and replied to me once every 3 weeks but I landed the job regardless. Now comes the fun part, I began working on 3/18 which was last week and I was fired immediately this week Monday morning. The owner told me "I received some feedback and we're too busy to train you, so I think you're not a great fit for the company.", even though I was only there for 2 days and I performed every task given to me by the PM and CM. "study the plan, perform the work on the field, assist the CM with fieldwork", I performed everything that was told. Even the PM and the CM were surprised at the owner's decision and I honestly don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, I'm very sad that now I'm jobless once again as I have been struggling to find a job in my field in the current market and now I have to get back in. On the other hand, I feel like I just dodged a bullet as my direct boss, the PM told that he is the 8th guy for this position as the first 7 all quit due to the owner. I just want to ask for your feedback as I'm still very confused about my whole situation. I will leave the company's name out as I believe it's the right thing for me to do.
