Approaching Hiring Manager for Internal Job Posting

Hi everyone,

I have been following this community for a while and have been thrilled by the support and advice I have read. This time , I'm the one in need of advice.

I am applying to an internal job posting soon. How should I compose the email to the internal hiring manager ?

I believe generic email would say, I am interested in the job and qualified for the same for the following reasons and a resume attached. What else should it include ?
