I'm looking for a bit of advice. About a week and a half ago I had an interview for a role that I'm very excited about. I got a good vibe from the interview but of course the whole process from interview to final decision always takes longer than it seems like it should. In the meantime, I have come across a similar but slightly different role at the same company. I cannot tell for sure from the job posting if it is a role within the same division of the company as the role for which I have already interviewed.
Does it hurt my chances for both roles if I apply for the second position before a decision is made about the first? Does it show that I am eager to join this company? Am I simply overthinking the whole thing and it doesn't much matter either way?
