Throwaway account due to highly toxic workplace. So I work for a large well known company (rhymes with bowlgate) that manufactures and sells toothpaste, dishwasher soap, among other products. There was an incident a few years back that I witnessed and reported which later ended up getting me and others in trouble with management.
The senior director in the tax department had the whole finance group in a meeting and told a long term employee that she was too old to take on new tasks. I, along with several others reported this incident to HR and to Ethics. It was later determined that no violation of the code of conduct was committed and that this incident was fully in line with the values of this company (just came out with a new Total line of toothpaste without that pesky chemical that causes health problems).
The HR group let this senior director lady know who reported and she has been making everyone's lives much more difficult. What is some good advice for me to deal with this situation?
