never got a date to start?

yesterday i applied for wendy’s’ and got called for an interview the same day. i went in for the interview today, aced it and was hired on the spot. the interviewer sent me an email of paper work to fill out. i filled out all the necessary paperwork and confirmed everything, yet i still have not received an exact date to start. is this normal? do i just simply wait for a confirmation? i’ve never had a job before, so i have absolutely no idea as to how any of this works. lol
