Is this normal/professional behavior for a virtual interview nowadays?

I just started interviewing again and am trying to learn/get acquainted with the virtual process. Yesterday, I had a second round interview via Microsoft Teams. It was with 2 VPs I’d be potentially reporting to. I’m not super psyched about the job, but I’m qualified, want a raise and promotion, hate my current job, and am looking and gauging all opportunities.

Overall, I found the entire interview to be not only distracting, but sorta unprofessional. One VP was on via phone and the other had her camera on, but it was clear she was also doing other things during the interview. Being the interview was on Microsoft Teams, the screen changed back and forth based on who was talking and it was sorta distracting to go from a blank screen to someone who was looking away from her screen and clearly doing other work / not paying 100% attention.

I guess I just expected both of them to have their video on and be 100% present, like how it’d be in a regular, in-person interview. Maybe my expectations are too high.

Is this just how virtual interviews are now and I should get used to it if I’ll be interviewing now? Or was this unprofessional behavior / they’re not taking me that seriously? The interview itself was 35 minutes long and they said they’d reach out to me next week.
