Last week I received a job offer and told them I would not be able to start for another two weeks to give my current job some time to start replacing me, which they said was fine, but my current employer told me they require three weeks notice. I asked my new job if they could wait an extra week, but they said they can't. This new job offers a much higher salary, which I need right now, so I really don't want to pass it up. What should I do? Could I face any legal consequences from leaving after two weeks instead of three?
