Hello, I am a university student and my major is electrical engineering. I am 20 and so far I have only had four jobs. The first one I spent about 8 months in it as a Cashier in Home Depot. I quit because I was moving to go to University. My second job was a year later where I was a Customer Service person, again in Home Depot. However, I was only in there for 2 months due to my studies starting to suffer. My next job was last year at a Lowes distribution center during the begining of the COVID stuff in summer but the work was absolute hell. I only lasted about 2 weeks and a half. My last job I just quit. It was a cashiering position at Lowes. I had only been hired about a few days ago. I thought I would be able to manage it since I thought it would be similar to the way Home Depot was but the hours I was being scheduled left me little to no time to study so I called it and chose to just focus on studying for now. I know that none of these jobs are related to engineering, but I am curious to know if my history of staying in retail positions would affect my hireability once I graduate.
