Senior Software Engineer - 100% Remote

Position Overview:

Our Software Engineers work in Agile teams - participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle: architecture/design, implementation, unit testing, release management, training and knowledge transfer. Our Senior Software Engineers often serve as the team’s Tech Lead - helping the Project Manager with technical decisions, leading the other developers on the team, and interfacing with clients.

This position can be done 100% remotely.
We are open to both "Contracted to Full Time" and "Full Time" applicants.

Essential Functions:

• Design and develop software in an Agile Scrum project team environment - including continuous integration, project tracking tools, technical documentation
• Lead technical research/analysis, architecture/design, training and knowledge transfer
• Lead other developers by removing blocks; providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Provide input to Sales team and Project Manager on estimating technical work
• Assist Project Manager with technical design or technology decisions
• Interfacing with clients to help educate, train or troubleshoot issues
• Provide recommendations on technology, frameworks and languages
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Ensure continuous improvement of software engineering, release management and compliance standards

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of technical experience in application development and design
  • Front End Development - Angular
  • Back End Development - C#
  • Database Development - MS SQL
• 5+ years experience with enterprise-level applications or consulting
• 5+ years experience with release management, work item tracking and source control
  • Work Item Tracking - Azure DevOps
  • Release Management - Jenkins, Azure DevOps
  • Source Control - Git, Azure Repos
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to context switch and operate independently, with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to coach and mentor other developers

• Cloud Infrastructure and Services - Azure, AWS
• Work Item Tracking - JIRA
• Release Management - Circle CI, Drone CI
• Source Control - BitBucket, AWS CodeCommit
