Position Overview:
Our Lead Software Support Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and minor enhancements of all of our applications and integrations that we have implemented for clients with a support and maintenance agreement.
This position can be done 100% remotely.
We are open to both "Contracted to Full Time" and "Full Time" applicants.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot and triage customer-reported issues
- Ability to multitask and operate independently, with a strong attention to detail
- Quickly learn a variety of business processes, software applications and technologies
- Maintain and document software functionality and issue resolution steps
- Design and support release management procedures and technologies
- Design, configure and execute smoke testing procedures
- Perform software development and bug resolution
- See projects / assignments through to completion while adhering to business timelines
- Improve upon current skills while also developing and mastering new technical skills
- Negotiate or escalate in a timely manner if issue is out of scope
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of technical experience in product support, application development and design
- Experience with the following technologies:
- Angular, Bootstrap
- WebAPI, MVC, .NET, C#, PHP
- Windows, Linux
- MSSQL, MySql
- WordPress
- AWS, Azure
- Jenkins, Git
- Solid development skills and passion for developing software; Strong desire to learn and work on multiple technologies/languages/platforms
- Tenacity in troubleshooting issues and identifying root causes
- Software debugging skills; ability to debug applications
- Adaptable and embraces change
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Client relationship skills (e.g. navigate a high tension moment)
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Team player with high performance standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience being part of a technical support group
- Some experience with some or all of the following technologies:
- jQuery, VUEjs, React
- Ruby on Rails, NodeJS
- Swift, Kotlin, Android, iOS
- Postgres
- Drupal
- Azure DevOps
- Azure Repos
