Potential employer asking that I request my own hourly salary. Where do I start?

I had an interview today for a part time job as an operations assistant for a company that manufactures and sells relatively specialized musical equipment (I would be primarily assisting in inventory, packing, shipping, and some customer service). During the interview, the owner of the company ask that I send him what I believe I should be paid hourly and I'm stressing about it to be quite honest.

Just for a little more context, I hold a master's degree in a field directly related to the products we deal with, but not directly related to the job description. I do have experience in inventory management but mostly in a much less specialized retail environment; although my experience is not too comprehensive (I have mostly worked in sales).

The company is very small (<10 employees) but has been growing at a pretty rapid rate as far as sales are concerned. I have looked for salaries of similar jobs and the range is extremely wide. In my area, operation jobs range anywhere for $10/hr to $25/hr.

I have worked at a commission based job for the past 3 years and haven't really put much thought into how much my time is worth, ya know? At the moment I am considering requesting $15 to $20, but I am still extremely unsure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
