Hello,
I applied to a major hedge fund for a summer internship and while I wasn't expecting to get accepted, I am confused on what this rejection email means. A little background on the internship was that they required a 3.5 minimum GPA (I have a 3.7) and I am a sophomore who applied to the junior position. Did I get rejected because I was too young? Here is the email below:
"We have carefully reviewed your education and experience in consideration of our hiring needs. While your credentials are impressive, we believe there is not a close enough match between your qualifications and our current hiring requirements. Therefore, we regret that we are unable to schedule an interview for you at this time"
They say that my credentials are "impressive" but my "qualifications" don't meet the requirements? What is the difference between credentials and qualifications?
