McDonald’s gave me an interview and said they’d call me back Monday, I haven’t got a call yet?

I had an interview this Friday after the manager at Mcdonald’s reviewed my application, it went decently well and he said he’s call me back Monday. It’s only 5:00 but I’m losing hope, why hasn’t he called back? I’m pretty sure he meant he’d call back regardless if I got the job or not. Should I call him tommorow and ask for an update? What exactly do I say? Or should I call in a week? I’m only 16 and was so excited to get an interview but now I’m feeling doubtful.
