Got hired but I dont have my ssn card

Hi! So I got hired at a fast food place, only problem is that I do not have my ssn card it is back in my home town (I'm currently in college). I know my ssn from the top of my head and would be able to show my employer a copy of my birth certificate and drivers license if needed. Should I be fine?
