I had an initial phone interview with a company that I applied to. The position requires daily driving. At the end of the interview the recruiter said they need to do a driving background check so they sent me a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) form to fill out. On the form I need to give my driver's licesnes #, but they also need my social security number. Is this typical for them to ask for my ssn? Should I give it to them? I have not been offered the position yet. I just had one initial phone interview and everything seemed legit as far as I can tell but I wanted some other opinions.
Thanks.
