About to graduate within half a year, never had a paying job before, how to go about with job interviews with regards to salary?
To preface, I've not had a job before as I was in education full time but I finally (hopefully) graduate this year with an undergraduate degree. I've filled out my CV as detailed as possible and I've worked on my interview skills. I'm looking to get into a junior role since I don't have much experience in the workplace
I've spotted an opening in a junior role in the accounting field that I'm specialising in and the role gives full training, work from home and full time, with a range of £30,000 to £35,000
When it comes to salary, my opening to my salary requirement is 'I believe my skills and educational experience with the relevant software is what you're looking and I'm open to discussing, what's the range you are offering?'.
Should I undervalue myself and go for £30,000 since I have no work experience, go for halfway or overvalue myself and say £35,000?
